Cliffcrest

Scarborough Bluffs Views and Backyard Barbecues

About Cliffcrest

Cliffcrest sits atop the Scarborough Bluffs east of Brimley Road, a residential neighbourhood that combines sweeping Lake Ontario views with the easy, unpretentious lifestyle of middle-Scarborough. The streets here are arranged in quiet crescents and cul-de-sacs, lined with brick bungalows, split-levels, and two-storey homes from the 1960s and 70s — the kind of neighbourhood where kids still ride bikes to each other's houses and families gather for backyard barbecues on summer weekends. The Scarborough Bluffs themselves are the neighbourhood's crown jewel. The cliff-top parks along the southern edge provide some of the most dramatic natural scenery in the GTA, and Bluffer's Park at the base offers beach access, picnic areas, and a yacht club. Scarboro Golf and Country Club occupies a large swath of the neighbourhood, and the commercial strip along Kingston Road provides practical neighbourhood shopping. Transit access relies on the Kingston Road bus heading west toward Victoria Park Station on Line 2, and the Brimley bus heading north toward the Scarborough Town Centre transit hub. While the neighbourhood is car-oriented, it rewards cyclists and walkers with the Waterfront Trail and ravine path network. Cliffcrest appeals to families and retirees who want to live near the lake in a neighbourhood that still feels like a small town within the city.
